THE OCTOPUSES

These shells are usually found dead in or around octopus nests. This is because octopuses typically feed on crustaceans and mollusks, including these gastropods. Therefore, when they feed, they leave the remains of their prey around their nests, where they spend most of the day hiding. A SPECIAL AND UNIQUE RELATIONSHIP These masters of camouflage have an impressive intelligence and display great flexibility in their behavior and understanding of their surroundings. Behind those eyes lie their enormous curiosity and desire to explore, reminiscent of our own thirst for knowledge. Since childhood, the Marí brothers have had a very close relationship with these octopuses, and over the years they have learned to understand and respect them, developing a unique relationship with them.

HALIOTIS

The shells we use to make our jewelry come from gastropods called Haliotis, specifically "Haliotis Tuberculata." These live under rocks, attached to them. They typically inhabit rock beds and seagrass meadows up to 25 meters deep. These shells have a beautiful iridescent mother-of-pearl interior with cyan hues.
